Grandeur of Narayanhity Royal Palace
The magnificent Narayanhity Royal Palace in Kathmandu, Nepal, is the home of the Nepali royal family. The palace takes its name from a renowned historic waterspout that is situated in the southern corner of the palace grounds. The immense palace compound is surrounded by high walls and carefully guarded by soldiers. Tourists can visit the Narayanhity Royal Palace compound by special permission on Thursdays between 13:00 and 15:00, but even from the outside the palace is an impressive sight.
The Festival of Gathemangal

Indian film director Sanjay Srinivas is set to release the first Indian feature film made almost entirely in Nepal, featuring a Nepali cast and in the Nepali language. The film, God Lives in the Himalayas, has the support of the Nepal Tourism Board as it is anticipated that it will help to promote tourism by introducing some of the many facets of Nepal to the world.
