French Pass and Dhaulagiri (Dhaulagiri Circuit, Nepal) [00:49]
In this clip, we have just come up and over French Pass and are descending the moraine towards Dhaulagiri and the Chhongardan Glacier. I say in the video, "down down down" from here...it was far from that. I've never hiked UP so much trying to hike down as I did hiking from this point out to Darbang. I can hear my hiking comrades saying "Amen, Sister."

In ca. 1h 40min wird auf insgesamt 9 Teile verteilt sowohl der Annapurna Circuit, als auch die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Kathmandu vorgestellt. Von Besishara 800m geht es in 12 Tagen über den 5416m hohen Thorong la (tief verschneit nach einem Tag Schneefall) nach Jomosom. Trekkingzeit: Ende März, Anfang April 2011 Teil 6: Thorong la Pass und Abstieg nach Muktinath. Weiter geht es von Muktinath nach Kagbeni auf der nördlichen Seite des Jhong Khola ins selten besuchte Dorf Dzong mit den Ruinen der früheren regionalen Hauptstadt. Der Weg über Dzong in die mittelalterlich wirkende Siedlung Kagbeni (2800 m) am Kali Gandaki ist erst seit kurzem erlaubt, da er teilweise in der nur mit Spezialpermit zugänglichen Region Mustang verläuft.
