Team J'aime Québec Adventure Nepal [00:20]
Team J'aime Québec Adventure Nepal with Grover 2012 The Langtang trek takes you through forests, farmland, villages and high Himalayan mountains. The deep gorges of the Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola are thickly forested with rhododendron, oak, maple and alder. The stretch of forest around Ghoda Tabela in the lower Langtang Valley is inhabited by the red panda, a rare and threatened symbol of a healthy Himalayan ecosystem. Other animals common to these forests are wild boar, Himalayan black bear, ghoral, grey languor monkey, leopard, Himalayan thar and musk deer, found in the higher elevations. The spectacular view of the high mountains from Chorkari Ri is one of the highlights of the trek. Most of the people in this area are Buddhist. The Upper Langtang region is inhabited by people of Tibetan descent, whereas the villagers of Dhunche, Bharkhu, Syabru and further down are the Tamang people.

Kathmandu Lumbini Tour ( काठमाडौं - लुम्बिनी यात्रा ) [09:27]
Lumbini, the peaceful city located in Rupandehi district of Nepal, is the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism and thus is the most important pilgrimage destination for all schools of Buddhism all around the world. Lord Buddha, the enlightened one, was born here as Prince Siddhartha Gautam in 623 BC, the son of King Suddhodhan of the kingdom of Kapilvastu and his queen Maya Devi. According to the Buddhist literary sources, on the day of Baisakh Purnima, Maya Devi, while on her way to her maternal home, took bath in Puskarini (a pond in the garden of the palace) and immediately felt the onset of her labor pain. She grabbed the branch of a big shady tree nearby for support and gave birth to a beautiful baby prince. It is said that as soon as he was born, the new born prince took seven steps in the holy soil under each of which a lotus flower bloomed immediately. Lumbini garden, where Maya Devi gave birth to Gautam Buddha, remained neglected for a long time but now it has been beautifully maintained, and the region is now listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Nepal 2011 - Part IV "Thorung Phedi to Jomsom" [05:33]
Crossing 5'416m high Thorung La Pass for sure is one of the highlights of the Annapurna circuit! Starting at 4am we reached the summit at aroung 9am and finally got to Muktinath at around 16h. Getting to lower Mustang and Kali Kandaki is amazing as the landscape changes dramatically after having passed Throung La.

Nepal 2004 - with my Dad [05:06]
My trip to Nepal, with my old man in 2004. We trekked up to Everest Base Camp, went on Safari in the Chitwan National Park, White Water Rafting, and discovered Kathmandu. An unbelievable 4 weeks together, experiencing all that Nepal had to offer, fantastic meals, crazy traffic, slower pace, friendly loving locals - and a few nights celebrating with them.
