Parina as Kumari at the Kumari procession in Lyon [01:11]
Parina Shrestha as Kumari and The Rath Yatra (chariot procession) of the living Goddess Kumari at Fêtes consulaires 2011in Lyon (the International Music Festival) held in Lyon, the second largest city of France on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Along with Nepal, there were 45 countries in this festival. This the first time Nepal has participated in this festival in connection with the SOLEIL VERT, an association of Lyon, France. The procession is called Koniya Jatra (southern parts' festival) in Newari. This is because the chariots are taken in procession through the southern parts of the city like Maru, Chikanmugal, Majimat, Jaisidewal, Jyabahal, Lagan, Brahma Tole, Humat, Kwahiti, Bhimsensthan and then back to Basantapur. Then on the day after, the chariots procession is taken out through the northern parts, and this the procession is known as Thaniya Jatra (northern parts' festival). Starting from the Kumari House at Basantapur, the chariots move through the places like Pyaphal, Yatkha, Nardevi, Tangal, Bangemudha, Ason, Keltole, Indrachowk, Makhan, Hanumandhoka and back to Kumari House. Throughout the procession, Panche Baja, traditional musical band and army band and Saduljung Gulm also accompany the chariots.

NEPALESE CULTURE AND TOURISM SWAYAMBHUNATH KATHMANDU NEPAL [04:33]
Swayambhunath is a very popular and beautiful place, it is situated 4 km. from center of Kathmandu city. specially it is know as Buddhist Stupa, it lies on top of the small hill, which lies in south part of Capital city. Swayambhunath means the self-manifested Lord Swayambhu and people believed to derive from a time when tradition says, Kathmandu valley wan under the water of vast lake, and it was a know as s home of Vipashwi Buddha is credited with having sown lotus, which grew into a giant jeweled lotus. And also it has another story which says that Manjushree used his sword to drain the lake once filed the Kathmandu Valley, Swayambhu was a small stupa when it first appeared, but after a long time suffered demolition from earthquakes and it was whitewashed and plastered. From Swayambhu we can see very beautiful view of Kathmandu city and many mountains beside hills.

Pashupatinath temple is one of the very special temple of Nepal as well India.This temple belongs to Hindu, it lies in eastern part of Kathmandu city beside Bagmati river. It is know as a God Shiva Temple, annually many Hindu religion people come to visit here specially on the day of Shavaratri. In Pashupatinath, there we can see one big temple which is the main temple and beside this temple there are many temples which belongs other Hindus God. Here accept Hindu and Buddhist person, other religion are not allowed to inter and visit this place. It has a very sweat story about it, according to tradition, one day Lord Shiva tired of his place Mt. Kilasha, so he went to search of place where he could escape too and he discovered Kathmandu Valley without telling anyone and he came to live in the valley. And he gained fame and popularity as a Pashupati and he know as Lord of animal.

Bhudanilkantha Temple lies in Northern part of Kathmandu city, it is far away about 5km. from Capital city, it is deep below at the base of Shivapuri hill. According to the tradition meaning of Budhanilkath is "old blue throat". Budhanilkantha has it own history and it is know as a historical place of Nepal. Particularly Hindu religion belongs this temple and it is know as God Vishnu. This temple is created by King Pratap Malla. Once he saw God Vishnu on his dream and he has strong belief on God Vishnu. The Lord Vishnu lies prominently at 5m. in length inside a tank 13m long giving the impression of floating, around this temple we can see many others God temples, daily many people visit this temple, specially Nepalese and Indian people come to visit this place.
