12 Days of Missionary Christmas [08:05]
12 Days of Christmas sung from missionary experiences... It took 2 days to film, 3 days to edit, and 1 overnight upload on a cellular network in Nepal. All for the Unreached Peoples of Asia. "The great Pioneer Missionaries all had 'inverted homesickness' this passion to call that country their home which was most in need of the Gospel. In this passion all other passions died; before this vision all other visions faded; this call drowned all other voices. They were the pioneers of the Kingdom, the forerunners of God, eager to cross the border-marches and discover new lands or win new-empires" Samuel Zwemer

Singalila National Park - Trekking with Nabin of TrekMate [02:09]
We had 5 days and 4 nights trekking in Nepal and West Bengal with wonderful views of the Himalayas. To see Everest and Kanchenjunga at sunrise from where we did - something to savor. We did this in November of 2012. We were lucky to have splendid weather. Being November, it started cooling off at night and we were glad for the down sleeping bags and jackets TrekMate provided us. About TrekMate in Darjeeling: We'd highly recommend TrekMate listening to the type of trek we wanted to take and then setting us up with a terrific guide and porter. Nabin, our guide, had good command of the English language which helped us learn about the area. Otherwise, he speaks fluent Hindi and Nepalese. Nabin was obviously seasoned with several years guiding under his belt and knew when and where to be of help - a 6th sense perhaps. Great sense of humor, too. We appreciated Kumar, our porter, who lightened our load and allowed us to totally enjoy the surrounds which were incredibly beautiful. This was a tea house trek with stops along the way for great food made by people in their own homes. Each night offered different, unique, and fun accommodation in guest houses along the way. If I was to rate this experience on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best, it gets a 5+. ~Mary PS I surprised Nabin. He didn't know I was videoing him with my phone until i was done and told him. I could have done better on the sound but you'll get the idea. Concentrate on the beauty! :-) And here is a little more about ...

Volunteer at Rural School in Nepal [10:32]
Volunteer in Nepal with Ecoteer's in-country partner and experience the real rural Nepal. The schools are all self sustaining with organic farms and renewable energy. The parents of the school pay tuition fees by volunteering their time - two days volunteering per month allows one child to go to school for 1 month.
