HOMES NEPAL " Bishnumati River Cleaning Campaign Part 1 " [15:06]
Human Overall Management Educational Society (HOMES Nepal) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. It has been registered at the District Administration Office, Kathamandu under the Organization Registration Act 2034 BS and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council on July 2007. The project is designed to improve the sanitary and environmental condition of Bishnumati River which is almost six Kilometer starting from Manamaiju VDC to the Lalitpur Sub-Metro City. The river is highly polluted by solid waste, waste from households and industrial waste. The hydrology proves that there are no any water animals in the river due to toxic waste materials from industries and households. By knowing the condition of river, HOMES Nepal has taken initiation to improve the water condition and maintaining the environmental condition as normal. For this, it has cooperated different stake holders and governmental agencies. By now, Homes Nepal has initiated the work for survey with cooperating the Kathmandu Municipality.

Achham District [01:01]
Achham District, a part of Seti Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Mangalsen as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1680 km² and has a population (2001) of 231285. It is one of the remotest districts of Nepal. It is accessible by automobile from Kathmandu via a paved road that runs along the western border of Nepal from Dhangadi. Mangalsen, the district headquarters, is eight hours walk from Sanfebagar - a town in Achham sporting a non-functional domestic airport. A seasonal road exists from Sanfebagar to Mangalsen but is often closed during monsoon season. A bridge crosses the Budhi Ganga river in Sanfebagar allowing access during high water, a second bridge over the second river crossing is also under construction. During 2009/2010, the government of Nepal will be constructing a paved road connecting Sanfebagar to Mangalsen. The district is served by two hospitals, the government district hospital in Mangalsen and one recently opened in Bayalpata that is a collaboration between the government and the non-profit organization Nyaya Health.
