Por ser la montaña más alta del mundo, el camino al campo base del Everest es el más popular. La travesía conduce al elevado corazón del Himalaya y alberga pueblos y gompas preciosos. El pueblo sherpa es muy amable y hace que caminar por la región de Solu Khumbu sea muy agradable. Sus voces suaves retornan a nuestra memoria como ecos de su "-Namasteeee". La ruta alcanza su punto más alto en Kala Pattar con 5545msnm, donde están las mejores vistas del Everest y la pared de hielo del Khumbu. En ese lugar respirar se vuelve diferente, mezcla de altura y asombro. Delicadas líneas y blancos intensos del Ama Dablam, el Pumori y el Nupse circundan el paisaje y se transforman en Imposibles de borrar de la retina de cada uno de los que estábamos ahí. Esa paz dejada atrás a nuestro regreso de Lukla, contrasta con el bullicio de Katmandú. Un caos para nosotros que ellos viven de una manera muy natural. Los naranjas de los sadhus, los multicolores zaris, los rojos de las tikkas, las lungtas y los dorados de los templos se vuelven algo cotidiano mientras recorremos las plazas medievales y las callejuelas de Thamel. Los regateos en los precios es algo risueño cada vez que elegimos algo para llevar a nuestros seres queridos y ni que hablar de los pedidos de Rolo, Pablo y Mariano de cerveza Everest bien "chizo". De haberlo soñado no lo hubiera imaginado tan fantástico y nuestras caras lo demuestran en cada imagen tomada por nuestras cámaras... dicen que ahí se refleja el alma y cada vez ...
