Resham Firiri, the most popular Nepali folk song [02:50]
Resham Firiri, 30-Aug-2011, Pokhara, Nepal. While having dinner in Hungry Eye restaurant, unexpectedly we were invited to sit indoors. There was music and dancing performance from 7-9pm every night. Then it came out my favorite Nepali folk song - Resham Firiri. So I videoed it (video quality not very good though). Resham Firiri is the most popular Nepali folk song. Trekkers love to sing it while trekking up and down among Himalayan mountains. Some also say Resham Firiri is a love song. I have to admit that I love Nepalis. Nepalis are honest people. They are celebration/party people, lots of singing and dancing in daily life. They are friendly. They are also tough as being mountain people. There is some kind of spirit in Nepalis, and I guess that might be from being mountain people. On the trek you might hear this version of Resham Firiri: Resham Firiri Resham Firiri I am a donkey, you are a monkey Resham Firiri Resham Firiri Resham Firiri Sometimes trekking, sometimes rafting Resham Firiri Resham Firiri Resham Firiri Sometimes drinking, sometimes sinking Resham Firiri (flickering-flame.blogspot.com The brief meaning of common version of Resham Firiri: My heart is fluttering like a silk Shall I fly to the hill top like silk flying in the wind? Oh my god, a baby calf is at the hill top! I could not leave it there, let us go together. My home is so beautiful; look to the hills. People I love are on the hilltop. I can not leave them as they are my family. So let us all go ...

Krishna Birthday Celebration 02 [01:26]
Hindu God Krishna Birthday Celebration, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Nepal. 21-Aug-2011. We unexpectedly ran into meeting the celebration of Hindu God Krishna's Birthday in Kathmandu Durbar Square. I was in love with the atmosphere right away. I was so attempted to dancing but so shy that I finally left it and kept it in my mind. One Nepali guy was so kind to invite me to join the dancing celebration after he heard that I was so much wanting to be dancing. And I said no (God knows what I was thinking). That day we were lingering around the temple, sitting, walking, feeling some kind of joyfulness unknown to us. An impressed day.

Hindu chanting and dancing for praising the God. Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal. 20-Aug-2011. It is very common to see some celebration or ceremony in Durbar Square of Kathmandu. Two Teen Goaties Were Butting Each Other's Heads [02:16]
Nagarkot, Nepal. 10-Aug-2011 When we were sitting at the bus station in Nagarkot, a group of goats came over here. And then 2 teen goaties started butting each other's heads for quite a while. They wouldn't stop, so I finally picked up the camera to video the process. Interestingly enough, it seemed that they had become more into the play of butting since I took out the camera. And actually it looked more fun playing than really butting. Yea, teen goaties, what would you expect them to do? Fighting, playing with some fun...
