Sangkhu Nepal rice cultivation July 2011 [00:48]
Sangkhu is in the eastern Kathmandu Valley and is a nice little Newari town, serene. The hike to the tmeple goes through an area of rice paddies. I filmed a greeting to my daughters in 2007 from there - here is the 2011 update. When they were little and I taught at UMA we spent part of each summer day gardening - both vegetables and flowers. there is nothing more rewarding than to garden with kids.
