Landing at Lukla [02:48]
Lukla airport, in the Everest region of Nepal, is the #1 most extreme airport on the History Channel documentary "Most Extreme Airports" list. I won't argue with that. I've watched some other people's videos of landing at Lukla on Youtube, and while many of them captured a much better view of the landing strip than I did, which was virtually none as I was sitting at the back and someone's head was always in the way, I didn't see any that conveyed the sense of sheer human terror inherent in this flight in the way that I feel this video does. The woman making all the comments to camera was our tour organiser. Was this her way of making us feel comfortable, I wonder? Be warned that there is some mild swearing and profanity in this video. Give us a break, we were scared sh**less!
