The Bardia National Park is the largest reserve of its kind, and considered by many to be one of the most peaceful places in Nepal. Situated in the Terai valley, it covers an area of approximately 968 sq. km. The park swas established to protect representative ecosystems, as well as to protect tigers and their prey species, and is protected by the board of wildlife in Nepal.
There are a great number of National Parks in Nepal which are definitely worth a visit.
