    Situated at 1550m roughly 32 km east of Khatmandu is Dhulikhel. The town is old and has a strong sense of history. Many of the beautiful old buildings are well preserved and make for some good photos. The small town of Dhulikhel has become a popular place from which to view the Himalayas and to prepare for longer hikes in the Himalayan region.

    Changu Narayan Temple

    Kathmandu Valley, where you will find the capital of Nepal, is filled with many temples dedicated to the worship of the gods from the Hindu faith. One of these sacred places is called the Changu Narayan temple, considered to be one of the oldest Vishnu temples in Nepal's Kathmandu. The Changu Narayan Temple is dedicated solely to Narayan also known as Lord Vishnu.

    Budhanilkantha Temple

    Deep below at the base of the Shivapuri Hill within the Kathmandu Valley on the northern end, lies the mystical Buddhanilkantha Temple, meaning “old blue-throat”, just 9 km away from the main city. It is at this location that you will find one of the three images of the deity Lord Vishnu or in full Vishnu (Narayan) Jalasayana which is regarded by the local people as the principal deity.
