An Umbrella trip to Rasuwa

On 16th October Stephen and I (Macartan) traveled to the area of Rasuwa, 10 hours north of Kathmandu, in Nepal. Stephen was to locate and visit the children that Umbrella had reintegrated with their families and communities in April 2011, before he returns to live in Ireland after 3 years working with The Umbrella Foundation in Nepal. It also gave me an opportunity to visit the schools in the areas and discover this beautiful area so that Umbrella could send teaching volunteers to the area in the near future. Over the course of our week in Rasuwa we biked and trekked a lot! However, the huge effort was defiantly worth it, as it enabled us to visit these kids in their natural home environments, where they belong. A trip to remember.
