Assitance Medicale ( Toit du Monde ) & Embassy Of Nepal Paris jointly organized thanks giving event in Paris on 02 December 2012.Thanks Giving Evening in Paris Assistance Medicale Toit du Monde, Paris and the Embassy of Nepal, Paris jointly organized a thanks giving evening to the donators and sponsors of AMTM in Paris yesterday. Present on the occasion were about 320 pax consisting of the members of AMTM and their families. Established by Madam Evelyn Charbonnier in 1992, AMTM is a French Non-government organization with about 3,000 members from medical professions. AMT has been providing scholarships to 1,000 Nepalese students from different places of Nepal. Each scholarship is valued at 240 euro per annum. Moreover, it carries medical camps twice a year and provide free medical services to 1400/1500 persons. His Excellency Mr. Mohan Krishna Shrestha, Ambassador of Nepal to France and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, while giving a short remarks at the function, appreciated the activities of AMTM and also thanked all the donators and sponsors of AMTM. He, further highlighted about the natural beauty, rich culture, people's way of life in Nepal. Referring to the bilateral relations between Nepal and France, Ambassador Shrestha said that the relations between our two countries is developing according to passage of time. He also recalled the visit to Nepal by former French President late Francois Mitterrand in 1983. President Mr. Laurent Charbonnier explained the objectives of AMTM and also thanked all sponsors. The Embassy provided some delicious Nepali dishes for the guests. Miss. Alisha Gurung presented a cultural performance to the great applause of the guests. A musical band consisted of the AMTM members played lively music which added enthusiasm to the program. A mini bazaar of French and Nepalese good was also organized on the occasion.
