Steep climbing on Baruntse 7129 meter
Baruntse in Nepal is a remote mountain and a beautiful climb. It's a pretty straigth forward climb with two cruxes on the way up to the summit. Baruntse is located in the remoted Arun valley. The trek starts in the Hinku valley and follows a less exploit trail up to Mera Peak, were we cross Mera La and trek down to the Arun valley. Baruntse is a great climb for those who want to try a +7000 meter climb. Perfect as a follow up after climbing Island Peak, Mera Peak and Lobuche Peak. The mountain has two cruxes. The first one is an almost vertical wall towards C1 at 6100 meter and the second one is just below the true summit where you will have some great mixed climbing on rock and snow, sometimes exposed.
