Trekking in Nepal- Wilderness Adventures

Trekking is an outdoor recreational activity and it means a journey undertaken on foot in areas where any means of transport is generally not available. It often refers to multi-day hiking trips through rural, often rugged territory. It is a way for enjoying the beauty of nature by making a trip into the interior parts of a country following foot-trails through scenic areas. The trekkers usually carry a backpack containing the essentials throughout their journey of several days or weeks. Nepal is famous as one of the best destinations in the world for trekking. Trekkers can walk along the rough but beautiful trails or virgin tracks in the lap of green and friendly looking hills. The rhododendron-filled, green, dark and deep forests with different seasonal flowers blossoming can catch anyone's eye as can the scattered residential cottages, domestic and forest animals, variety of birds, both Hindu and Buddhist temples, mountains, breath-taking landscape, and above all warm greeting from smiling local people. Trekking in Nepal is an all season activity. However, the most popular seasons are spring (February - May ) and autumn (September-November). The most popular sites/regions for trekking in this Himalayan nation are Annapurna Region, Dhaulagiri, Jomsom-Mustang, Langtang-Helambu, Manaslu, Gaurishankar, Everest Region and Dolpo Trek.
