About

About Nepal.com

The independent English-language platform for Nepal — covering the country’s economy, culture, travel, and regional life since the 1990’s.

The Domain

Nepal.com is a category-defining domain about Nepal and an economy anchored by hydropower export, Himalayan adventure tourism, cultural heritage, digital infrastructure, specialty agriculture, and a substantial remittance-driven financial services sector.

Operating History

This site has been developed and operated as an independent editorial and commercial platform for almost three decades. Over that period, Nepal.com has grown into a structured resource about Nepal  across multiple categories — a travel and culture guide; a city and regional directory; economy and investment opportunities spanning six commercial sectors; and a business and trade reference — comprising many hundreds of pages of human written, curated content.

Standing & Credentials

Nepal.com is an independent commercial platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating under authority of the Government of Nepal, the Nepal Tourism Board, or any Nepali government agency, ministry, or state-owned enterprise. References to Nepali institutions, statistics, and government initiatives are drawn from published public sources and are editorial in nature.  Nepal.com is registration and maintained in good standing with an ICANN-accredited registrar. The Nepal.com wordmark is a registered trademark on the USTPO register since April 2, 2002, U.S. Reg. No. 2557445.

The Platform

Nepal.com publishes coverage and reference material on Nepal — adventure and trekking, economy and investment, travel and cultural heritage, business and trade — and is operated independently of any government or regulatory body, single region, sector, or unaffiliated operator. Editorial coverage extends across travel, regional life, culture, and business. The platform maintains a directory of Nepal-focused businesses, a curated city and regions guide, and ongoing coverage through the Nepal.com blog. The Economy section covers the commercial dimensions in depth. The Invest in Nepal section provides information for strategic partners and resources. We collaborate with partners across editorial, commercial, data, and market-entry relationships, and with principals desirous of exploring future development of the platform.
