Why Now — Linka Holdings’ Market Position

Who This Page Is For
The ideal partner has an active Nepal or South Asia strategy and needs the digital authority to match it.
Nepal.com is most relevant to hydropower developers and renewable energy investors building positions in South Asia’s electricity export economy, premium adventure tourism operators developing the underdeveloped Himalayan hospitality and trekking infrastructure, and digital platform operators establishing the booking, payments, and logistics backbone of the adventure economy — alongside cultural heritage operators, specialty agriculture businesses, and financial services organisations serving the diaspora remittance corridor. Principals and brokers are equally welcome.
The Commercial Thesis
Nepal’s 2024–34 counterparty community exists. Its digital platform does not yet.
The India–Nepal Long-Term Power Trade Agreement signed January 2024 commits Nepal to 10,000 MW of electricity export to India over its first decade. Two 400 kV cross-border transmission lines — Dododhara–Bareilly and Inaruwa–Purnea — were committed in April 2025 and are under construction. The Government of Nepal raised the Mount Everest spring royalty to $15,000 in September 2025, the first increase in a decade and a deliberate premium-pricing signal. Remittance inflows reached 33% of GDP in fiscal year 2025/26, the highest on record. The hydropower developers, premium hospitality operators, and digital platform builders entering Nepal now are establishing positions that post-LTPTA-window entrants cannot replicate. Building the platform that serves those counterparties — before the international capital community concentrates on the corridor — is the commercial opportunity.
Why The Timing Is Acute
These are not future deadlines. They are current commercial processes with identifiable counterparties.
The LTPTA’s first ten-year window opened January 2024 with a 10,000 MW target — Nepal’s current export capacity is approximately 1,140 MW. The Indian electricity grid’s planning cycles run on five-to-seven-year horizons; positions established before the next major capacity round capture the development premium. The Dododhara–Bareilly and Inaruwa–Purnea transmission lines come online within the same window. Nepal Electricity Authority’s stated 2035 target is 28,500 MW of generation and 15,000 MW of export capacity. Capital and platform partners committed before the corridor’s international visibility increases capture the full premium. Capital committed after pays the post-window price. The platform that serves this capital community enters now, not in 2030.
Five Partnership Pathways

The right structure for the right partner.

All enquiries are handled directly and confidentially by Linka Holdings, LLC. Principals and brokers are equally welcome.

Pathway 01

Co-Development

A joint build of the Nepal.com platform — combining Linka Holdings’ domain authority and content infrastructure with a partner’s editorial, commercial, or technical capabilities. Both parties contribute resources and share in platform revenue in proportion to contribution. The preferred structure for long-term strategic partners seeking to establish the authoritative English-language commercial intelligence platform for Nepal ahead of the 2034 LTPTA window.

Pathway 02

Joint Venture

A formal joint venture entity operating Nepal.com as a commercial platform, with equity participation by both Linka Holdings and the partner. Appropriate for investors and operators seeking ongoing participation in platform economics across the LTPTA decade and the years beyond. Governance and revenue structures are negotiated directly.

Pathway 03

Lease

An exclusive operational licence of the Nepal.com domain and associated platform assets for a defined term, with operating control transferred to the lessee. Appropriate for operators who wish to build and operate the platform independently while Linka Holdings retains underlying domain ownership. Term, scope, and fee structures are negotiated directly.

Pathway 04

Licensing

A licensing arrangement granting specified commercial rights to the Nepal.com domain and brand for defined purposes — geographic markets, content verticals, or commercial applications. Appropriate for regional operators, sector-specific platforms, and media organisations that require Nepal.com’s authority in a defined commercial category without full operational control.

Pathway 05

Strategic Acquisition

Outright acquisition of the Nepal.com domain and associated platform assets by a strategic acquirer for whom the domain represents a transformative commercial position. Available to the right qualified counterparty at the right valuation. All acquisition conversations are handled personally and directly by Linka Holdings, LLC.
