Dhangadhi, Far-Western Region, Nepal

Located in the Far-Western Region of Nepal on the border of India, the city of Dhangadhi is one of the entry points into the country for people traveling from India. Dhandadhi is the capital of the Kailali District in Nepal's Seti Province, and with a population of around 45,000, is the largest city in the Far-Western Region, one of the five development regions of Nepal.

The airport situated around 10 kilometers outside Dhangadhi receives domestic flights from Kathmandu and tourists who choose this method of transport to reach the city will enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas, the Churia Mountain Range and the beautiful landscapes of the fertile Terai region. Dhangadhi lies around 660 kilometers west of Kathmandu. Dhangadhi is home to the Bhageshwor Academy for Health Science, a training center for health workers and the Seti Zonal Hospital, making it an important city for attending to the health needs of inhabitants living in the Far-Western Region of Nepal.
